- Oversee crop maintenance in field research plots, field preparation, planting, applying fertilizers and pesticides, and harvesting. Participate in data collection and nematode sampling.
- Greenhouse work. Propagate and maintain nematode cultures, periodic watering, and fertilizing of plants.
- Laboratory work. Extraction and processing of nematode samples from soil and roots, and nematode counting, review records of experiments and field operation.
- Organization of the laboratory and maintenance of lab supplies and inventory. Purchasing materials and supplies. Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
Expected Salary:
$20.00 – 22.50 per hour based on experience and qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and three years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Desire someone with experience in field work and farm machinery. Prior experience in conducting different aspects of molecular biology techniques is preferred.
