What is Agribusiness?
Agribusiness is the combination of “Agriculture and Business”. Agribusiness includes all the terms required to send agricultural goods to market for production and sales. Agribusiness is related to industries that are involved in farming or that produce farm inputs. In terms of the common usage, the “Agribusiness” usually refers to huge Agricultural companies in difference with small.
There are four types of Agribusiness-
1- Primary Agriculture- Primary Agriculture is the smallest cooperative credit institution in India.
2- Manufacturing Agriculture- Manufacturing Agriculture is related to the Agricultural Industry. It is the major industry in the United States.
3- Agri-entrepreneur- In Agriculture the entrepreneur means a person who manages and develops Agricultural products. It is new in this field.
4- Support Occupation- The Occupation of Agriculture like you have to be a Agricultural Engineer, Agricultural Food Scientist, Agricultural Inspector etc.
Under the Agribusiness there are three sectors-
1- Agribusiness Input- The Agricultural Input sector is a major part of Agribusiness. Feed, Seed, Credit, Machinery, Chemicals are all the items provided to the farmers.
2- Agribusiness Output- The Agricultural Output sector effects on Agriculture commodity between Production and the Consumers, including Transporting, Selling, Storing etc.
3- Agri Services- In the Agri service sector they have public and private agencies that help people who research new ways of producing.
Some components of the Agribusiness sector are defined below-
1- Agrochemicals- Pesticides and Fertilizers both are Agrochemicals, they are used for growth in the Agricultural process.
2- Breeding- In breeding the Agricultural Branch focuses on raising for food products.
3- Machinery- By Machinery is one of the biggest help for farmers ranging from hand tools.
4- And Equipment- The agribusiness specializes in farming Machinery and is one of the best gardening Equipment.
