Agricultural consultant

Main Responsibilities

• Participating in budget development and annual sales projections;
• Collaborating with suppliers and the Director of Seeds in the implementation of sales strategies and programs to ensure sales growth in all product categories;
• Acting as an agronomic and commercial reference with Sales Representatives and Agents through the design, communication, and updating of training material;
• Monitoring and analyzing the evolution of sales, and coordinating changes in allocations from the various suppliers in collaboration with the company’s Procurement Department;
• Working in close collaboration with various research centres to ensure the acquisition of high-level genetics;
• Establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with various suppliers;
• Attending advanced training in the field and acting as the company’s expert agronomic representative at various international events;
• Setting up and coordinating the monitoring of field plots for certain suppliers;
• Performing any other related tasks.

Requested Skills

Hard Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy;
• Membership in the Ordre des agronomes du Québec (OAQ);
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the vegetation sector: field crops, corn, and soybeans;
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work with various computer-based tools;
• Bilingualism (oral and written);
• Experience in the design and communication of agronomic content is a strong asset;
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
