Job Description:

The Cultivation Lead is responsible for maintaining, executing, and overseeing the day to day operations of a full-cycle, indoor Cannabis Production Facility in Fall River, Massachusetts.. The Cultivation Lead reports to the Cultivation Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintain and oversee daily cultivation tasks.
Assist in the training and orientation of new and current staff.
Regularly checking that cultivation staff is using best practices and has the proper tools for completing daily tasks.
Hands-on with all cultivation and post harvest processes on a daily basis such as mixing reservoirs, watering/feeding plants, cloning, pruning, defoliating, spraying, transplanting, trellising, harvesting, cleaning, inventory monitoring, METRC, etc.
Ensure the efficient and accurate completion of Grow related transitions.
Ensure IPM protocols are being implemented and followed.
Maintain 100% Compliance with CCC regulations regarding all garden tasks, required ppe, plant tagging, and plant inventory.
Assist in the oversight and implementation of cultivation related SOPs, processes and data collection.
Communicate with managers and HR about employee performance and disciplinary actions
Help with overall cleanliness and organization of the facility.
Assist in creating and maintaining employee schedules.
Help create and maintain a general rotational plant schedule including all plant care/ transitional steps. (Monthly Grow calendar)
Ensure that all required logs, sheets and other tracking documents are consistently and accurately recorded and up to date.
Execute and report soil and water tests as needed.
Ensure the proper use, treatment and maintenance of all company equipment, tools, software, etc.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Preferred Massachusetts residency.
Knowledge of Horticulture equipment and coco/peat irrigation systems. ?
Capable of performing routine management and able to make equipment repairs or notify proper personnel when unable to.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to plan ahead, trouble-shoot, anticipate problems, and problem solve. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at a time.
Ability to learn new technologies
Knowledge of soil and hydroponic growing methods including micronutrients, beneficial bacteria, and nutrient implementation, as well as pH, PPM, and EC counts.
Knowledge of container systems with soil and hydro, as well as understanding temperature and humidity manipulation.
Knowledge of plant diseases, insects and fungi, as well as plant treatment options.
Knowledge of large-scale commercial plant cultivation, including nutrient requirements, mediums, light requirements, temperature control, and air flow, etc.

Education and Experience:

Must already possess or be able to qualify to work in Mass. Cannabis industry and be 21 years of age or older.
Absolutely no felony convictions, and must successfully pass an extensive background check
Preferred 2 years of experience in growing.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of a large-scale grow warehouse.
Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of the center.
Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Salary:

$45,760/year + Incentive Compensation Bonus
