SALARY: $50,000-$60,000 ($70,000 potential annual wages including OT, bonus, etc.)
SHIFT: Monday through Friday, Day Shift. 2–3 weeks domestic travel, OT generously available during summer months. Ability to work off shifts (afternoons and weekends) and overtime as necessary.

ROLE SUMMARY:
Seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on individual to join a highly engaged and energetic team, working to create barley varieties for a sustainable future. This role will get to work on a variety of projects and machinery, including some travel to our test fields. Sound interesting?
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assist in Global Barley Research functions – field prep, planting, pesticide application, harvesting, irrigation, and equipment maintenance.

Perform required daily, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance on all equipment. Also performs routine facility maintenance e.g., minor equipment repair, contacting and working with contractors, etc.

Safely operate farm tractors, implements, combines, planters, spray rigs, excavation equipment and landscaping equipment.

Center pivots and linear irrigation systems knowledge and understanding. Can safely operate and apply accurate amounts of water, as requested, in a timely manner.

Assist with process improvement and initiate change within the maintenance program.

Maintain cleanliness of shop, warehouse, facility, and property to Anheuser-Busch standards.

Other duties as needed, including facility maintenance and field irrigation, and facility ground hygiene
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school Diploma or GED required.

Mechanical and/or Agricultural related field, or technical degree preferred. Farm/maintenance experience, or background is preferred.

Metal fabrication and welding a plus.

Ability to perform and meet the physical demands of the position including but not limited to lifting 50 pounds, working in dusty and wet environments including varying outdoor temperatures with proper PPE.

Ability to obtain appropriate licenses (CDL, pesticide applicator) and safely operate vehicles and equipment.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, perform routine procedures, and utilize judgment/decision making skills.
