Nursery worker

Vireo Plants is a wholesale grower of container and field grown stock, located in Richmond, BC. Currently, we are looking for a reliable worker who can assist starting and maintaining plants in this small, yet diverse and dynamic plant nursery.

Responsibilities
Main duties required in this position are:
– Propagating plants by various methods such as cuttings, divisions, and potting up
– General plant maintenance such as watering, weeding, fertilizing, and pruning
– Pulling orders and harvesting crops
– Receiving and moving plants / assisting in loading and unloading plants

Requirements
Applicant must meet the following requirements:
– Able to communicate in English
– Able to work independently
– Able to follow instructions and pay attention to details
– Able to organize and keep written records
– Able to work in all weather conditions

Occasionally, the following duty also needs to be performed:
– Lifting heavy items (up to 25kg)

Experience:

• Greenhouse & Nursery Workers: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
